Tasks

The PSP (Production Specialist) role is for the optimization of processes and technologies within existing production systems and assures a VPS structured production

Key Responsibilities

Weaknesses - Analyze processes and identify weaknesses and develop short-term actions to improve stability and reliability

Efficiency - Analyze equipment cycles and identify reasons for efficiency losses

VPS - Organize VPS activities teams and act as a driver role whilst improvement actions are implemented

Production optimization - Optimizations of processes where cycle time meets the production requirement. Reduction of all forms of waste

Ergonomics - Ergonomic assessment (Abatech) and identification and resolution of any unacceptable processes

Operator sequence charts - Analysis of each process in nominated area for VA & NVA content creating output chart and for production team. Update of chart for any product or process change

Product planning interface - Interface between Production and Planning ensuring continuous improvement is assured. Implement lessons learnt from Production area into PEP phase

Best Practice - Building a network of contacts within the PSP worldwide organization to ensure best practice and standardization

Qualifications

Qualified to Bachelor’s degree level in automotive engineering

Manufacturing & Logistics operations

VPS philosophy and principles

Effective communication skills

VPS tools and techniques

Understanding of line balancing techniques

Team leadership - cross functional teams

Problem solving skills

Competency project planning and management

Proficient English, German would be of advantage

Knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental standards

Considerable experience in working within a Manufacturing environment 4-6 Years
