Data Engineer

Work with the latest Data technologies, overall planning, steering Data Technology development program. 

Support Big data, AI technology project which include data collection, data analysis, data mining, data visualization service to the whole China BMW Group.

Major Responsibilities:

-Design, develop and document data related topic in accordance with requirements specification, functional.

-Lead to create and deliver business insights projects with Big data and BI technology for various application fields, like marketing, production, sales and research by using mathematical & statistical methods and models

-Work with the Product Owner, Scrum Masters, Dev Team members, Backend Developers, security specialists and other groups to identify technical and functional needs

-Provide data modeling, mining, pattern analysis, data visualization and machine learning solutions to address customer needs

-Provide data visualization solution and service to  business department to demostrate the data insight and value

-Initiate the development of innovative solutions in the area of data science / statistics and the application to meeting business requirement.

-Communicate the ideas and solutions of predictive and prescriptive modeling to a broad community of non-statisticians and will be acting as a driving force in interdisciplinary project teams.

-Collaborate with product development teams to define, design and develop data driven user case to create new market opportunities

Qualifications:

-Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Statistics or similar qualification and/or relevant experience, training and proven delivery capability

-Strong mathematical and statistical background (modeling, statistics, analytics, math)

-Experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches

-Deep knowledge on data visualization solution and technology (SAP BO, Qlikview,tableau and etc.)

-Ability to communicate with business and IT leaders in a way that can influence how an organization approaches business

-Experience with performance/scalability tuning, algorithms and computational complexity

-Creative thinking and problem solving skills required

-Strong research and analytical mindset and extremely detail-oriented

-Strong capability to draw insights/conclusions from raw data and summarizing results quickly and efficiently

-Proficient English, German would be an advantage

-Flexible response to rapidly changing demands and ability to function well under extreme pressure

Experience:

Experiences in scripting language Python/Java/Scala etc.

Expert knowledge of an analysis tool such as R, or SAS or SPSS.

Knowledge of SQL & data visulazation

Experience on Data mining, statistic analysis, machine learning

Project, operation experience on DevOps environment and methodology
